A professional chauffeur service and a taxi are two regulated services that operate differently. A taxi can be hailed on the street or picked up at a taxi stand; its fare is calculated by a meter that measures time and distance, as regulated by the prefecture. A chauffeur service must be booked in advance—this is a legal requirement—and its fare is set at the operator’s discretion and communicated before the ride. With VTC Bordeaux, the fare is fixed and confirmed in writing: you know exactly what you’re paying before you get in. The professional driver holds a professional driver’s license issued by the prefecture (here: #03322012101, Gironde), guaranteeing proper training and medical fitness. No hidden surcharges for nighttime, weekends, or holidays.

All of our drivers (including the founder) have sufficient English to communicate with clients in the UK, US, Ireland, Australia, and Canada—addresses, hours, instructions, landmarks. It’s not interpreter-level bilingualism, but it’s enough to ensure a smooth ride: “where are we going, what time, which luggage, which hotel, which terminal.” Reservations via email or WhatsApp can be made in French or English—emails will be replied to in the customer’s language. This is particularly useful for transfers from Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport to hotels and châteaux in the Médoc or Saint-Émilion regions, for day-long wine tours, and for business trips with international clients. If your flight is delayed, you don't need to do anything. When you make your reservation, you provide your flight number. The driver assigned to your ride will track your flight’s progress in real time via Flightradar24. If your landing is delayed, they’ll automatically adjust their arrival time at Mérignac Airport—no canceled rides, no rebooking. A 40-minute wait is included included in the fare starting from the actual landing time. Beyond that, additional waiting time may be charged at the hourly rate for the booked category—as specified at the time of booking. Yes. The Bordeaux chauffeured transfer provides long-distance transfers to the French and Spanish Basque Country. Destinations served regularly include: Biarritz, Bayonne, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Hendaye, San Sebastián (Donostia), Bilbao, and Pamplona. Trips are available in Mercedes C-Class Sedan (3 passengers) or Mercedes Van (7 passengers). The fare is calculated per kilometer based on a minimum pickup distance, confirmed in writing prior to departure. Bordeaux → San Sebastián: approximately 240 km. Bordeaux → Bilbao: approximately 330 km. Ideal for travelers who want to avoid transfers, family groups, and cross-border business trips. You can check the validity of a professional driver's license free of charge online through the official government service, accessible via entreprendre.service-public.gouv.fr. This “professional driver card verification” service has been established by the Ministry of Transportation. All chauffeur service drivers who hold a card are automatically registered in the system. Simply enter the number to obtain real-time confirmation of its validity. Adrien Moreno’s professional driver’s license, #03322012101, was issued by the Gironde Prefecture in 2022. The license is valid for 5 years from the date of issuance and is a legal requirement for working as a private chauffeur in France. Obtaining the license requires passing a written exam (covering regulations, traffic safety, and English) and a practical driving test, as well as a mandatory medical examination. Without this license, providing paid private chauffeur services is illegal.
