"I travel the Paris-Bordeaux-London route several times a month for work. Adrien was there at 5:45 a.m., the car was spotless, and the flight was tracked in real time. Fixed rate, no surprises."
Adrien Moreno · Founder and private driver at VTC Bordeaux.
The business was launched in Bordeaux in 2022 and incorporated as a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) in 2024. It features a network of partner drivers, a fixed price quoted in advance, and someone who can be reached — not a platform.
What Makes the Difference.

From a single driver to a network of partners.
When I launched the chauffeured transfer Bordeaux Chauffeur in 2022, the idea wasn't to start yet another transportation company.
VTC Bordeaux is a chauffeur company founded in Bordeaux in 2022 by Adrien Moreno, holder of professional driver’s license #03322012101 issued by the Gironde Prefecture. The business was incorporated as VTC Bordeaux SAS in April 2024 (Bordeaux Trade and Companies Register No. 924 992 605, headquartered in Parempuyre (33290)). Network of selected partner drivers. Google Rating 5.0/5 from 41 verified reviews.
I’m from Bordeaux, and over the past few years I’ve seen the city transform. Visitors from England, the U.S., and Australia are now arriving in droves, and every time I saw the same thing: the line of taxis that won’t budge in Mérignac, the app that overcharges because it’s Sunday night, and no one to give a clear response to an email in English when you’re just trying to book in advance.
And for people in Bordeaux, whenever they need to go to Roissy, Paris, or head down to the Pyrenees, things often get a little unclear: who to call, how much it will cost, and what kind of car to take.
These days, I don't work alone anymore. With the volume having increased—especially during peak season, when requests can come in all at once from London, Bordeaux, and Paris—I've gradually set up a network of partner drivers. Not just a list of anonymous service providers: people I know, people I’ve driven with, and people I call when I know the trip will suit them. Some are better at long distances, while others excel at wine-tasting tours where you have to be patient between tastings without rushing the customer.
This allows me to cover just about everything that's going on: a go to Mérignac at 6 a.m. to catch a flight to London, a day spent hanging out in the vineyards of Saint-Émilion or the Médoc, a Cap Ferret with the Family with the bikes in the trunk, a wedding in Charente, a long-distance transfer to Paris, Biarritz, San Sebastián, or the resorts in the Pyrenees in the winter. Whether the trip takes forty minutes or six hours, the principle remains the same: Clean car, punctuality, price quoted in advance, and someone who can be reached if things change.
In April 2024, I organized the business into VTC Bordeaux SAS, a commercial company (Bordeaux Commercial Register No. 924 992 605, capital €100, headquartered in Parempuyre (33290)). Professional driver’s license #03322012101 issued by the Gironde Prefecture in 2022. Pacifica Professional Liability Insurance (Crédit Agricole). Intra-Community VAT number FR81924992605.

What is the difference between a chauffeured transfer and a taxi in Bordeaux?
A professional chauffeur service and a taxi are two regulated services that operate differently. A taxi can be hailed on the street or picked up at a taxi stand; its fare is calculated by a meter that measures time and distance, as regulated by the prefecture. A chauffeur service must be booked in advance—this is a legal requirement—and its fare is set at the operator’s discretion and communicated before the ride. With VTC Bordeaux, the fare is fixed and confirmed in writing: you know exactly what you’re paying before you get in. The professional driver holds a professional driver’s license issued by the prefecture (here: #03322012101, Gironde), guaranteeing proper training and medical fitness. No hidden surcharges for nighttime, weekends, or holidays.
Do the drivers speak English?
All of our drivers (including the founder) have sufficient English to communicate with clients in the UK, US, Ireland, Australia, and Canada—addresses, hours, instructions, landmarks. It’s not interpreter-level bilingualism, but it’s enough to ensure a smooth ride: “where are we going, what time, which luggage, which hotel, which terminal.” Reservations via email or WhatsApp can be made in French or English—emails will be replied to in the customer’s language. This is particularly useful for transfers from Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport to hotels and châteaux in the Médoc or Saint-Émilion regions, for day-long wine tours, and for business trips with international clients. This linguistic flexibility is standard on all our trips—it’s not a premium option billed separately.
How does payment work?
Two payment methods, at the customer's discretion. Option 1 — Online Payment: A secure link is automatically sent upon confirmation of the reservation. Credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are accepted. Option 2 — Payment on board: Cash or credit card, paid directly to the driver on the day of the ride. The initial rate may be recalculated if the trip is modified along the way—a significant delay on the customer’s end, an additional stop at another address, an extension, or an unplanned wait. Any potential surcharge will be announced at the time of the change, never afterward. For long-distance trips not departing from Bordeaux, full payment via a link is required 12 hours in advance to secure the partner driver’s time slot. For professionals and businesses, an invoice with VAT is issued automatically (intra-Community VAT number FR81924992605). VTC Bordeaux SAS is registered with the Bordeaux Trade and Companies Register (RCS) under SIREN number 924 992 605.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed, you don't need to do anything. When you make your reservation, you provide your flight number. The driver assigned to your ride will track your flight’s progress in real time via Flightradar24. If your landing is delayed, they’ll automatically adjust their arrival time at Mérignac Airport—no canceled rides, no rebooking. A 40-minute wait is included included in the fare starting from the actual landing time. Beyond that, additional waiting time may be charged at the hourly rate for the booked category—as specified at the time of booking. In the event of a significant delay, please contact Adrien at +33 7 57 59 89 00. No penalties will be charged for delays beyond your control.
Do you cover the Basque Country and Spain?
Yes. The Bordeaux chauffeured transfer provides long-distance transfers to the French and Spanish Basque Country. Destinations served regularly include: Biarritz, Bayonne, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Hendaye, San Sebastián (Donostia), Bilbao, and Pamplona. Trips are available in Mercedes C-Class Sedan (3 passengers) or Mercedes Van (7 passengers). The fare is calculated per kilometer based on a minimum pickup distance, confirmed in writing prior to departure. Bordeaux → San Sebastián: approximately 240 km. Bordeaux → Bilbao: approximately 330 km. Ideal for travelers who want to avoid transfers, family groups, and cross-border business trips. For any long-distance trips not departing from Bordeaux: full payment is due 12 hours in advance.
How can I verify the validity of a professional driver's license?
You can check the validity of a professional driver's license free of charge online through the official government service, accessible via entreprendre.service-public.gouv.fr. This “professional driver card verification” service has been established by the Ministry of Transportation. All chauffeur service drivers who hold a card are automatically registered in the system. Simply enter the number to obtain real-time confirmation of its validity. Adrien Moreno’s professional driver’s license, #03322012101, was issued by the Gironde Prefecture in 2022. The license is valid for 5 years from the date of issuance and is a legal requirement for working as a private chauffeur in France. Obtaining the license requires passing a written exam (covering regulations, traffic safety, and English) and a practical driving test, as well as a mandatory medical examination. Without this license, providing paid private chauffeur services is illegal.
