A sedan or a van for a vineyard tour?
The choice depends on the number of passengers. For one to three passengers, the Mercedes C-Class sedan offers comfort and premium features, at 65 €/h. For four to seven passengers, choose the Economy Van at 70 €/h or the Mercedes van at 80 €/h: The group travels together, with a separate trunk for luggage and purchases. The Eco line at 55 €/h remains the entry-level option for a small group.
How is this different from a city tour of Bordeaux?
The wine tour takes you to the vineyards, outside the city, to explore châteaux and wine regions such as Saint-Émilion, the Médoc, and Sauternes. The city tour, on the other hand, focuses on Bordeaux itself: the historic district, Place de la Bourse, the Miroir d’Eau, the Chartrons neighborhood, and the Cité du Vin. Both can be booked with the same driver, on different days, and complement each other perfectly for your stay. Can we organize a wine tour for a group or an event?
Yes, that’s one of the most common uses. The 7-passenger van fits the whole group into a single vehicle, making it ideal for a birthday party, a bachelorette party, a corporate seminar, or a wine-tasting outing. A single driver takes everyone from one vineyard to the next, and the organizer can finally enjoy the day instead of managing the transportation. For a larger group, we coordinate multiple vehicles. The full-day rental and the written fixed price make the budget perfectly transparent, divided among the participants.
How long does it take to get to the vineyards from
Bordeaux?
The main wine regions are all within thirty to seventy-five minutes of downtown Bordeaux. Allow about 30 minutes for the Graves, 35 for Entre-deux-Mers, 40 for Saint-Émilion, 45 for Sauternes, and 45 minutes to over an hour to travel up the Médoc to Pauillac. These travel times are reasonable, allowing you to visit any appellation in half a day. The driver knows the best times to avoid the crowds during harvest weekends and adjusts departure times so you arrive relaxed at each tasting appointment.
Does the price change if the tour ends late at night?
No. The price is set and stated before departure, and the nighttime surcharge of approximately 30%—applied in the evening, on weekends, and on holidays—is already included in the quoted amount. We do not claim that the rate is the same day and night, since it is not, but it is known in advance and does not change once the quote is confirmed. Furthermore, there are no approach fees for Bordeaux Métropole, and tolls, VAT, and waiting time are included. The confirmed amount is exactly what you pay.
How do I book my vineyard tour with a driver?
Describe your plan—date, number of participants, wines you’re considering, and your preferred package—via our online quote request form. We’ll confirm a written fixed price within 30 minutes, including mileage and waiting time, with no obligation. We’ll then tailor the itinerary to your schedule and the tasting times at the châteaux. On the day of the tour, the driver will pick you up at your hotel, drive you from estate to estate, wait during the tours, and bring your purchases back to you. Book in advance during peak season, from March to October, when availability is limited. Cancellation is free up to 12 p.m. before the tour.
